1. emphasizing the multiple interrelations between mental disorders and other health conditions and the practical implications of this comorbidity;
2. mobilizing the interest of national authorities and other stakeholders about such issues as decentralization of resources and implementation of community care;
3. giving visibility to some exemplary experiences of mental health care in various regions of the world;
4. promoting the development of a consensus in the mental health field about some basic messages to be delivered consistently worldwide.

The WPA will be delighted to contribute to these efforts.”
