I am an art therapist who works with an organization called Ivy Child International. Ivy Child is a non-profit organization providing cross-cultural positive psychological services for children, families, and communities worldwide. We provide mental health, wellness, and crisis services to children adolescents, and adults in wide range of critical physical and mental health areas. We have programs in yoga and mindfulness, bullying prevention and leadership, international service programs, violence prevention programs, and multicultural music and art.
My personal experience is primarily focused on treating sexual abuse and trauma within the Latino population. I most recently spent time working on my Spanish fluency in Guatemala this past winter and spring 2013. My interests are to become educated and experienced in global mental health so that I can provide ethical trauma and disaster services to children at an international level.
