This is a compendium of first-person accounts of the lived experiences of people with mental illness from across the countries where BasicNeeds operates -- Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Laos and Sri Lanka. It includes stories such as that of Kevin Isack: “Let me introduce myself. I am Kevin Isack. You could say I am young - sixteen years old. I did have some form of education, but not enough. I went to the primary school in my village of Mipande in the Chiungutwa Ward in Tanzania. I was there till 2006.
